Diving with Whales

Overview

Welcome to Mo'orea, French Polynesia—home to one of the most incredible whale encounters in the world.

Each day, we'll head out on the water in search of humpback whales, with the opportunity to snorkel alongside them in their natural habitat. Along the way, we'll also spend time with rays, blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles, and a wide variety of tropical marine life.

When we're not on the water, you'll have time to explore the island, from its mountain viewpoints and beaches to its local food and laid-back Polynesian culture. Whether we're swimming with whales, watching the sunset after a day at sea, or sharing stories over dinner, every day brings something different.

This is more than a trip to French Polynesia. It's a chance to slow down, spend time in the ocean, connect with incredible wildlife, and experience one of the most special places in the Pacific alongside a small group of like-minded adventurers.

Gavin Heeks

Growing up along the coast of California, I developed a deep appreciation for nature and storytelling. It wasn’t until I moved to Hawaii at 18 that I picked up a camera, which sparked my passion for capturing the world beneath the surface. Now an underwater photographer, shark safety diver, and content creator, I’ve been fortunate to work with incredible brands and inspiring individuals. I’m passionate about helping others turn their dreams into reality—whether in content creation, underwater photography or personal growth. This journey is just getting started, and I’m beyond excited to connect with like-minded individuals who share the same passion and vision.

What started as a love for the ocean and marine life turned into a career in ocean photography, expedition travel, and ocean storytelling.
Over the past few years, I’ve traveled the world photographing wildlife and sharing experiences centered around the ocean. My work focuses on capturing the art, emotion, and beauty of underwater encounters, with the hope that sharing those moments helps people feel more connected to the ocean and inspired to protect it.
As an underwater photographer, creator, and trip host, I’m passionate about creating meaningful experiences that help people connect more deeply with the ocean and the wildlife within it. I can’t wait to share this one with you.
